Sentior Terms of Use
These terms of use (hereinafter referred to as: App Terms) apply to the use of the Sentior App (hereinafter referred to as: App). Via the App you can use Sentior services on your smartphone, such as viewing requests, managing your favorite requests or responding to requests. You can download the terms of use for this app so that you can save or print them (see the print button at the top right of this page). By using the App you agree to the Terms of Use for this app. By agreeing to these Terms of Use, you also agree to the “Sentior Website - Terms of Use”.
1. General
- 1.1 The App is brought to you by: Sentior B.V., Verrijn Stuartlaan 18, 2288 EL Rijswijk. Telephone number 070 404 1080. Chamber of Commerce number 82083037 (hereinafter referred to as: Sentior).
- 1.2 When using the App, the Sentior privacy and cookie statement also applies, in which you can read how Sentior handles the processing of your personal data.
- 1.3 Sentior can adjust these App Terms in view of new developments. The most recent version can be found on our website: http://www.sentior.com/legal. If the App Terms are amended, you will be notified by Sentior.
- 1.4 The App is only intended for users over 18 years of age.
- 1.5 The App and the content are for general information purposes only and are not intended as advice or proposal to purchase a product.
2. Definitions
App: The mobile application called Sentior App developed by Sentior and made available to users for use on the smartphone running an up-to-date operating system from Apple or Google (Android).
Content: All data (including images and sounds), services, software, files and other information accessible via the App.
Login Information: The account or other means of identifying you through which you gain access to the App.
Equipment: The (peripheral) equipment, including a smartphone on which you use the App.
Connections: The mobile and / or wireless internet connections.
3. Using the App
- 3.1 You can use the App if you have a Sentior account.
- 3.2 In order to use the App, you must download the App on your smartphone from the Apple App store or the Google Play Store.
- 3.3 To activate the App, we ask you to link your smartphone to your Sentior account. You must enter your phone number for this. You can then access the App and your account via an SMS code.
- 3.4 To prevent misuse of the App and the Content, you must handle the Login details with care. You must keep the Login Details secret and may under no circumstances provide them to third parties.
- 3.5 It is important to use the latest version of the App. If you are not using the latest version of the App, the App may not function or not function properly.
You can use the App on multiple devices. When installing on an additional device, you must link the new device to your existing Sentior account. To do this, enter your phone number on the login screen of the app, then log in with the SMS code that is sent to your telephone number.
- 3.6 In order to use the App properly and safely, you must use the most current operating system from Apple or Google. Otherwise, the App may not function or not function properly.
- 3.7 To prevent misuse and/or malfunctions and/or other problems, you must ensure that your Equipment and Connections are sufficiently protected against unauthorized use by third parties and against malware, viruses and other harmful software.
4. Cost
- 4.1 Sentior does not charge (up to 5 professionals per organization) for using the app.
- 4.2 If you want to register more than 5 professionals, you can purchase a subscription.
- 4.3 You bear the costs for the purchase and use of the Equipment and Connections necessary for the use of the Content through the App.
5. Security measures
- 5.1 You are responsible for the use of the App. You must follow all Sentior instructions and regulations given in connection with the use of the content of the App.
- 5.2 You may not use the App unauthorized or carelessly. Sentior is entitled to block access to the App in case of misuse or unauthorized use of the App.
- 5.3 If you think that you can no longer use the app safely, if your telephone number is used by a third party or if there are other reasons why you think you can no longer use the app safely, please notify Sentior immediately via telephone number 070 404 1080. Sentior can then take security measures such as blocking access to the app. You may be liable for any damage up to the time of notification.
6. Liability
- 6.1 Sentior makes every effort to make the App available to you safely. Despite constant attention, care and safeguards, Sentior cannot guarantee that the App will function flawlessly, uninterruptedly and virus-free. Sentior does not accept any liability for the consequences of any inaccuracies in the data that is made available via the App.
- 6.2 Sentior may at any time discontinue offering the App or modify the Content.
- 6.3 Sentior is not liable for any damage or costs incurred by you or third parties, for whatever reason, as a result of the use or inability to use the App, unless the damage in question is caused by intent or willful recklessness on the part of Sentior.
- 6.4 The App may contain banners and links to external internet pages. Sentior is not liable for the use, content and / or functioning of these external internet pages and accepts no liability for this. Sentior is not responsible for the processing of your personal data on these external internet pages.
7. License and Intellectual Property
- 7.1 The Content of the App is protected by copyright, trademark rights. These rights are vested in Sentior. It is not permitted to copy and / or distribute or disclose, exploit or otherwise use such data from the App, without the prior consent of Sentior.
- 7.2 Sentior hereby grants you a non-exclusive, royalty-free and revocable license to use the App in accordance with these App Terms.
8. How do we handle your privacy?
Sentior is responsible for the processing of your personal data. We comply with the General Data Protection Regulation and the Code of Conduct for the Processing of Personal Data for Insurers (see code of conduct). How we handle your data is stated in our privacy and cookie statement (at www.sentior.com). Please contact our support if you feel that we are not handling your data properly.
9. Improvement
Sentior continues to improve the App by adding new functionalities or improving existing functionalities based on customer feedback and user experiences.
10. Termination and de-activation of App
- 10.1 Sentior may discontinue use of the App at any time. Upon termination, the rights and licenses granted to you in these Terms app will be revoked.
- 10.2 You can end the use of the App yourself by removing the App from your smartphone by uninstalling it.
11. Governing Law
These App Terms and Conditions are exclusively subject to the Dutch law. All disputes that arise in connection with the App and / or these App Terms and Conditions will be settled by the competent court in The Hague.
12. Other clauses
If these Terms of Use are partially declared null and void or destroyed, the parties remain bound by the remaining part. The parties will replace the void or voided part by clauses that are valid and the legal consequences of which, given the content and scope of these Terms of Use, correspond as much as possible with those of the void or voided part.

13. Apple
The following applies to apps downloaded from the Apple App store:
- 13.1 Apple Inc. ("Apple") is not a party to this agreement and is not responsible for the App and its content. To the extent applicable Apple's terms of use and terms, (available at www.apple.com), exceed or conflict with these app Terms, the aforementioned applicable terms of use supersede the App Terms.
- 13.2 Use of the App is limited to use on Apple-authorized equipment and in accordance with applicable Apple terms and conditions.
- 13.3 Apple has no obligation to provide any maintenance and support services under the App.
- 13.4 Apple is not responsible and liable for any direct or indirect damages or costs incurred by you or any third party, on any account whatsoever, as a result of any infringement of third-party intellectual property rights or any violation of applicable product liability, consumer or other applicable legal provisions.
- 13.5 You hereby confirm that you (i) do not reside in a country that is subject to an embargo issued by the appropriate authorities of the United States or designated as a "terrorist supporting country" by the appropriate authorities of the United States and (ii) is not on any list of United States competent authorities as prohibited or restricted parties.
- 13.6 You agree that Apple is a third-party beneficiary with respect to the Terms app and that Apple has the right to enforce the provisions in the Terms app in its own name.
